Councilor Nelms is a 25-year resident of Homewood and will begin her first term on city council in 2020. Her goals include enhancing the city’s green space and community connectivity by adding dog parks and supporting current revitalization projects. Nelms is also committed to establishing an effective system for submitting constituent inquiries.

Nelms and her husband Sam have 4 daughters Samantha, Zoë, Diane and Debra.
