John Hardin was appointed to the Ward 5 Place 2 seat in November 2019 after Peter Wright vacated it to serve as council president. John has lived in Homewood since 1993. He is married to Ann, a native of Homewood. They have four children who have all been in the Homewood School System. He has been active in the community over the years and is a commercial real estate broker in the Birmingham area.
