Finance Highlights 03/04/24
1. Committee approved a request for a $235k budget amendment that will amend the city’s agreement with Tyler Technologies to provide an online civic access permitting portal that provides a paperless plan review and permitting system. The current software used by the building permits and inspections department and zoning board is outdated and no longer supported, prompting the city to seek a modern system for a seamless paperless workflow connecting all city services online. Tyler Technologies offers a solution where city staff from various departments can review documents and provide feedback through a civilian access portal and virtual plan review environment. This innovative approach is meant to streamline the review process, enhancing efficiency and collaboration between city staff and applicants. This item will be voted on by the full council March 11, 2024.
