The next Homewood municipal election is August 26, 2025 whereby voters will elect four councilors and a mayor. To learn more about this change in our city government VISIT HERE
This shift to having elections in 2025, rather than 2024, was due to a bill passed by the Alabama Legislature five years ago. The bill added an extra year to terms for some lawmakers who were elected or re-elected in 2020. Why the change by lawmakers? It kept from having municipal elections around the state clash with the presidential election that was in November 2024.
