Amwaste Update
Mayor Patrick McClusky gave a detailed update to the council after a recent meeting with Amwaste, attended by city leaders from surrounding municipalities. In order to respond to citizen requests, provide a more consistent and earlier route completion time, and provide more efficient service, they've announced upcoming changes in pick-ups days for some residents. This adjustment will not impact everyone. To help facilitate the transition and so people can see if their days are changing, Amwaste has developed an interactive Google map to help find your days.
Notifications will be going out in the mail this week, so please be on the lookout for a bright yellow flyer in your mailbox. Similar changes are being implemented in other local municipalities to enhance garbage services. Amwaste stated they plan to kick off new route days right after spring break. We will offer more info if we receive it.
